Here are some of our other pictures from our trip to San Diego. We stayed an extra day after the wedding and did some site seeing. We went to the San Diego Zoo which was a lot of fun. Neither one of us had been there before and it was great! It was a bit hot so a lot of the animals were sleeping or hiding, but we still got to see quite a few of them! My personal favorites were the panthers & jaguars. They were absolutely beautiful, although we didn't get any pictures of them, they were moving around and eating.
This is Heather and I while at a girls lunch she had the day before the wedding. The restaurant and company were great! And me at the San Diego Zoo sign! This picture was taken from our hotel room at the Sharaton, amazing site.
I had never been to California before so all these experiences were that much more special for me. I finally got to put my feet in the Pacific Ocean for the first time. It was a bit cold!
This was the sunrise the morning we left to come back to England. We stayed on Navy North Island, one of the 3 Navy bases in San Diego, and is located on Coronado Island. We didn't get to explore as much as we would have liked but we both want to go back! Our body clocks were all out of whack the entire time we were there, so we saw a lot of sunrises! There is a beach on Navy North Island that is right next to the lodging rooms, so we literally walked down the stairs and were on the beach! My type of place!!
This was the moon setting just before the picture above was taken. We tried to capture how beautiful it was, but this picture really doesn't do it justice!
This was at the Zoo at the Polar Bear Plunge. It was really neat to see, they had put our carrots and lettuce for the polar bear to eat...although he didn't like the carrots at all! We were hoping he would get in the water and swim but he didn't. Oh well, still very cool to see!
Jay with the Rhinos. Another reason he wanted this picture is because one of our good friends that used to fly with Jay, Sig's call sign is Rhino. So we sent this picture to him. Jay thought it was pretty funny, and I think Sig did too.
That is it for now. We had a great time in San Diego and can't wait to get back and explore more!
