London

Jay and I went into London yesterday, mainly to get out of the house, but also to do some exploring.  We went to Ikea first and got a couple things that we (or I) needed.  Of course after we left there he was driving and I was sitting in the back seat because of the way that we had to load the car!  Jay kept saying "We wouldn't have this problem with my truck!"  Another thing we can look forward to getting back to in the Spring!

Anyway, we decided that after we left there we would head into London and go see the Tate Modern Art Museum. We had planned out a route because Ikea isn't near our usual Tube stop, however the Tube stop that we had planned on going to (which was new to both of us) was closed due to scheduled maintenance.  We had to find our way to another Tube Stop...which took a lot longer than we were expecting.  So needless to say we saw A LOT of England that we had never seen before.  By the time we got to our Tube stop it was much later than we were anticipating and then the place we needed to change trains to get to the Tate was also closed for maintenance...so we took that has a sign that seeing the Tate yesterday was not meant to be.

So, we ended up walking around Trafalgar Square, down to Buckingham Palace, and then back to Trafalgar Square through St. James Park.

We had planned on going to one of our favorite resturants in London, Cafe Pacifico a great Mexican restaurant, but instead we found the Texas Embassy which we had heard also had great Mexican food.  It was great, the food wasn't quite as good but it really did feel like we were in Texas!  The resturant was decorated w/ Texas license plates and other Texan Paraphernalia...it was great!  They had a couple of the football games that were going on in the states so watched a little of that while we ate!
